With a working-age population (15-59 years) accounting for 62% of the total, and a median age of 28 years (compared to Japan's 48 and the EU's 44 years), India has a foundational advantage at a time when the global population is aging. India's surplus workforce of 47 million can help address the global shortage of skilled workers, estimated at 56 million. This offers an opportunity to create a high-quality skilled workforce, positioning India as the global talent hub. Furthermore, India's domestic skill ecosystem, supported by effective governance and skill delivery institutions, provides a strong foundation to achieve the Honorable Prime Minister's vision of India being the skill capital of the world.

With an impressive annual capacity of 4,500 candidates, the Varanasi SIIC has catalyzed skill transformation for roles such as E-commerce Delivery Person (Bike Rider), HVAC Technician, Technical Electrician, and Plumber. By honing skills aligned with international demands, this center exemplifies our mission to equip individuals for rewarding careers abroad.
